Zambia is located at the heart Africa. It is shaped by its majestic rivers, dramatic escarpment and vast wilderness. The mighty Zambezi River runs like a lifeline through the southern part of country forming much of its southern border. The river tumbles in a massive wall of water over the great Victoria Falls, the widest waterfall in Africa and a famed World Heritage Site. The Great Rift Valley starts in Ethiopia to the far north and ends here in Zambia, contributing to its spectacular landscape. On its northern border is the mighty Congo River. In between are massive wildlife parks, spectacular valleys teaming with wildlife, and wetlands which are home to some of the most spectacular birdlife in the continent. Given its remote reserves, abundant wildlife, and brilliant guides, Zambia is where you come to immerse yourself in wild Africa.   • 1. The Lower Zambezi National Park

    If there’s a park that truly balances comfort with adventure, it’s the Lower Zambezi. Set between the escarpment and the Zambezi River, it’s a place where elephant splash beside your canoe and leopards pad quietly past your sundowner spot. Canoeing, boating, fishing, walking, or classic game drives, it’s all here, and the camps are as beautiful as the setting. Mornings on the water, evenings under the stars, and not a crowd in sight.

  • 2. South Luangwa National Park

    Known for its leopards and legendary walking safaris, South Luangwa has become one of Africa’s top wildlife parks and for good reason. The Luangwa River and its oxbow lagoons draw huge herds of elephant, and the predator action is often front and center. Whether you’re gliding past hippos on a canoe or following a lion’s tracks on foot, South Luangwa pulls you in and doesn’t let go.

  • 3. North Luangwa National Park

    For those craving deep immersion, North Luangwa offers a true back-to-basics wilderness. This is the place for walking safaris and no-frills camps in truly wild country. You’ll track lion, elephant, and even black rhino on foot with some of Africa’s most experienced guides. If you want to feel small and are prepared for an adventure and foregoing luxury for authenticity, this is your place.

  • 4. Kafue National Park

    Kafue is vast, wild, and beautifully off the radar. Despite being Zambia’s oldest and largest park, it sees few visitors, which makes wildlife encounters feel even more special. In the north, you’ll find the Busanga Plains, a seasonal floodplain where red lechwe gather in the thousands and lions prowl through the morning mist. Further south, lush woodlands and rivers draw an impressive mix of predators and plains game. This is a park where the unexpected often happens.

  • 5. Liuwa National Park

    If you’re looking for a safari story to tell, Liuwa delivers. It’s remote, raw, and still relatively unknown, home to Zambia’s own migration of wildebeest and the legacy of Lady Liuwa, a lone lioness who became a legend. These days, the plains are teeming with life again, and cheetah, hyena, and wild dogs are all thriving. Even the lion population is coming back. Visit in November to witness the second-largest migration in Africa without the crowds.

  • 6. Livingstone & Victoria Falls

    Livingstone has earned its title as Africa’s adventure capital for good reason. You can leap off the Victoria Falls Bridge, soar above the spray in a microlight, or swim in the dizzying Devil’s Pool. But it’s not all thrill. This is also where you can enjoy sundowners on a sunset cruise, visit Zambia’s last rhino on foot with a ranger, or share lunch with a herd of habituated elephants. Markets, museums, community projects, and beautifully curated craft shops round it all out. It's the perfect spot to start or end a safari and features beautiful, luxurious accommodation.
