Uganda
Uganda was given the name “The Pearl of Africa” by a young Winston Churchill on his journey throughout the continent. Even today the moniker holds, as Uganda’s beautiful and diverse landscapes astonish even the most sophisticated African traveler. Choose your favorite eco-system or spend some time and see it all: Wetlands teem with fish and birds. Predators hunt massive herds of cape buffalo as they cross the vast savannas. Verdant, tropical mountains resonate with a cacophony of calls from a variety of primates from chimps and gorillas to multiple species of monkeys. Perhaps savor the rainbow and drama of the thundering of Murchison Falls as it cascades into the Nile, or relax on the shores of Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake.
